At the Natural Valley Ranch, a 78 acre full service equine facility, rising waters were flooding pastures and threatened to drown 14 of their horses. Emergency crews responded to the owners call for help and began moving the horses to higher ground. In places the water was over 6′ deep and the horses had to swim for their lives. The emergency crews worked in shifts to prevent hypothermia, and finally by 3:00 pm all the horses were moved to higher ground.
