England’s Queen Opens Vet School With a Special Horse

Queen and Horse

England’s Queen Mary, aged 89, along with her husband, Phillip, opened the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Surrey.  The royal pair were in attendance for the opening celebration.  The Queen is well known as being an avid horse-woman, and she spent a special minute with Mary Tudor.  Mary Tudor, aged 24, spent 16 years at the Buckingham Palace stables before retiring to the Horse Trust charity.  Mary Tudor was brought out of retirement and was brought to the school to teach students about horses.  “Home bred!  It’s Mary Tudor!” a delighted Queen told Phillip.
