In St Johns, Michigian, a horse named Finneas crashed through his paddock, tore through the pasture fencing and bolted away from home as fireworks banged and sparkled overheard. For 9 long days Amy and Richard Helgren searched for Finneas, but by Thursday evening they had begun to lose hope. They reluctantly went to dinner, when their cell phone started getting messages. A farmer had spotted Finneas in a soyboean field about a mile and a half from the Helgren’s home, and finally tracked down his owner. By 1:00 am on Friday Finneas was safely back in his pen and the Helgren’s could get their first good night’s sleep in over a week.
