Man Found Guilty of Horse Abuse

A south Philadelphia judge has found Derrick Hamm guilty of animal cruelty and has ordered him to pay $4476.16 in restitution, forfeit his horses and has barred him from owning any animals for 270 days.  The case stems from April in which Hamm’s 3 horses were found in deplorable living conditions.  The SPCA worked with Hamm in an attempt to find a suitable location for his horses, but none was found.  The SPCA now has ownership of the horses.
