For the first time in the state of Michigan, a donkey has received a prosthetic leg. Miss Daisy is a 10 month old donkey owned by Bill and Joette Kunse. Miss Daisy suffered a cut on her rear leg, which became infected. Her attending vet was forced to amputate the infected leg, which left the Kunse’s with a decision: pay the $2,700 for a prosthetic leg, or have Miss Daisy euthanized. For the Kunse’s, it was a simple decision, and now Miss Daisy has an American Flag prosthetic leg.
