Jackson, Tennessee – Redemption Road Rescue, working with Henderson County Sheriff Department, seized 25 horses, mostly miniature horses, from dying.  One miniature horse died before the rescue and law enforcement arrived on scene.  The majority of animals were near death from starvation, and many had other medical problems including severely cracked hooves.  Some of the horses were on pasture and are expected to recover soon, but those in stalls and small pens will take some time as they follow a strict refeeding program established by their veterinarian.

This is the largest, numbers wise, rescue that Redemption Road Rescue has ever done.  They are asking for donation and accepting applications for foster homes and adoption homes on their Facebook page.
