Akershus, Norway – A normal forest ride for equestrian Lena Myrseth, 18, turned into a tense standoff when Lena and her horse. Pheobe, came across a bull moose standing in their path. The tense standoff lasted over a minute before Lena started filming on her phone. “I was on my way home from riding at Burud water and rounded a bend in the [path] when bull moose suddenly standing there in the middle of the road. The first thing I noticed was that it had [big] antlers,” Lena told reporters.
Shortly after she started filming, the bull turned towards the horse and rider. Lena recounts the scary moment when she realized the moose was not going to just slip into the forest and disappear. “Then it just continued to stare at us, I was a little scared. I also noticed that my horse, Phoebe, was excited and blew his nose.”
When the bull started walking towards them in an aggressive manner, Lena and Pheobe turned and galloped away. Lena recounts how they had to take the long way home that day.
