Horse Kicks Open Door and Falls on Highway

Horse on Highway

Connecticut – Troopers with the Connecticut State Police responded to a call about a horse on the highway just after 1:00 am.  Responding troopers found a horse with skinned knees and a confused look on his face wandering the highway.  A search of the highway system found the owners nearly 50 miles away, oblivious to the fact their trailer was open and the horse gone.  The owners returned and picked up their horse, happy to have him back in the trailer.

The Connecticut State Police Facebook page said about the incident:

Is this the new Connecticut State Police Mounted Patrol? Nope. Just after 1:00 a.m. Troop I-Bethany troopers responded to I-91 s/b exit 21 for…….a horse walking on the highway??
This little guy kicked open the door of his trailer and took a tumble. His family was found on I-95 in Stratford by Troop G-Bridgeport troopers. The horse has a few cuts and scrapes, but is ok and happy to be safely back in his trailer.
