American Falls, Idaho – Police are investigating the stabbing death of a 6-year-old pregnant Mustang named Dee. Dee was found dead in her pasture Sunday morning, attacked sometime around 2:30 am. “The dogs all started barking, but we get a lot of coyotes, porcupines and skunks out here and that’s what we thought it was,” Kim Clark told reporters. Dee suffered a very long gash to her abdomen and trauma to her face, enough to shatter her nasal cavity.
Dee was pulled from a range in Washington with her band of 8. Approximately $7,000 was paid to save the band from an Indian tribe so they wouldn’t be sold for slaughter. The band of Mustangs were transported to the A Little Bit of Heaven about a week ago. Everyone at the rescue quickly fell in love with Dee, and in response she was learning to trust people.
Dee had been adopted by Danniell Dustin and was set to go home later the day she was attacked and killed. It is believed she was lured to the fence, stabbed in the chest, then the killer followed as she stumbled into the middle of the pasture and collapsed. The attacker then delivered a blow to her face, and she bled to death from her wounds.
A GoFundMe has been started to raise a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible.
