Worongary, Australia – Richard Alroe and his wife Jennifer were enjoying a quiet evening when they heard a commotion in their back yard. They were shocked to find a horse running madly in their small yard. “He was stressed and damaged all our pot plans and outside fencing,” Alroe said.
The couple tried to catch the horse, but events turned for the worse when the horse ran through an open door and into their living room. The couple called their neighbor, Simon Bond, to help catch the horse. In the struggle, the horse managed to kick Bond. “It kicked Simon so it took three of us to hold it down and we couldn’t let it go in case someone else was going to get hurt,” Alroe said.
The couple called police multiple times before help arrived. A veterinarian was called to put the horse down, and the madness finally came to an end at 11:00 pm when the vet put the injured horse to sleep.
Now, 15 hours later, the couple still have a dead horse in their living room covered with a tarp and they don’t know what to do with it. “This horse has been dead in our living room for 15 hours now and we still don’t know what to do. We’ve been let down by the system and no one has coming forward to help us,” Alroe told reporters.
Police believe the horse was hit by a car before running into the Alroe’s back yard. A blood sample was sent to a lab to test for infectious diseases.Author: Dale Williams <-- Become my friend on Facebook! - Phone: 724-964-6773
