La Marque, Texas – Workers with Habitat for Horses, a nonprofit horse rescue, noticed their head count was off when they were checking the horses in a 50 acre pasture.  After a thorough search of the pasture, they found where thieves had cut the fence.

Reynolds, a 6-year-old pony, was the only horse missing from the pasture, and is assumed stolen.  Denise Robison, ranch manager, said likely someone backed a trailer up to the fence and coaxed Reynolds in.  “He’s super sweet, loves people, and we just want him back,” she said.  Reynolds had lived at the ranch since he was rescued 2 years ago.

This is the first time a horse has ever gone missing from Habitat for Horses in their 20 year history.  They are offering a $1,000 reward for help in getting Reynolds back into his pasture.
