Winwick, England – 22-year-old Hannah Manson could not have been prepared for what she found when a phone call alerted her to two foals dumped on a back road near her home. The foals, who were emaciated and barely alive, were dumped in the middle of a storm and were soaking wet when Manson found them.
Manson called the RPSCA who sent officers to rescue the little horses. “As soon as I heard what had happened I went to see if I could help and take some photos. They seemed dead and were emaciated. I’m not an expert but their hooves were overgrown and their fur was caked in mud,” Manson told reporters with the Warrington Guardian.
The foals were too far gone for the RSPCA to rehabilitate them, and they were put to sleep.
