Harrisburg, PA – A 23-year-old woman is facing jail time after she attacked a police horse with a flagpole during a demonstration.  Lisa Simon is charged with aggravated assault, taunting a police animal, prohibited offensive weapons, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstruction of administrative law.

Simon was part of a protest titled “March Against Sharia,” and is a member of Antifa.  When police officers were attempting to move the group down the road, Simon attacked one of the horses with a flagpole that had a nail attached to the top, striking it in the neck.  When officers arrested Simon, she resisted arrest.  She was booked in Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.

The horse suffered only minor injury and was able to continue working.
